Evaluation and research

Have you conducted programme evaluation or research (including longitudinal)? If yes, has this evaluation/research been published?

In 2022 we assessed children's language and social emotional development with an instrument (EAD-3 Escala Abreviada del Desarrollo). We also identify the reading practices at home with a survey for the parents or adult caregiver. In 2023, we conducted an evaluation using the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test (PPVT) to assess receptive language as part of our program at SOS Children's Villages. In 2024, we are focusing on identifying reading practices with babies under 12 months, measuring the impact of the book gifting program, and training parents in literacy practices.
